ITA Airways lounges
ITA Airways operates the Hangar Lounge in Terminal 1 (for Schengen/domestic flights) and Piazza di Spagna in Terminal 3 (for extra-Schengen flights, near gates E11–E24), both primarily for Business Class and SkyPriority passengers.
Third-party lounges
Plaza Premium, Primeclass, and HelloSky all operate lounges accessible to any passenger with a day pass, typically priced from around €25–30, in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.
What's inside a typical lounge
Standard inclusions across the third-party lounges are a buffet or light food service, soft drinks and often alcoholic drinks, showers, comfortable seating away from the main terminal noise, and Wi-Fi — broadly comparable to what you'd expect from a mid-tier lounge at any major European hub, rather than a full sit-down restaurant experience.
Booking a day pass in advance
Day passes can usually be bought at the lounge door on arrival, but pre-booking online — directly with the lounge operator or through a lounge-access aggregator — is generally cheaper and guarantees entry if the lounge is near capacity during a busy period, which is worth doing if your layover or wait is planned rather than a last-minute decision.
